USTA Vermont 2024 General Rolling Grant Guidelines

USTA Vermont, Inc. invites organizations and individuals to apply for statewide grant funding to support programming aimed at increasing tennis participation in local communities. Special consideration will be given to grant applications focused on the following programming:

  • In-School and After-School Programming
  • Junior Competitive Play
  • Non USTA League Adult Competitive Play
  • Community Tennis Associations (CTA)
  • National Jr. Tennis and Learning (NJTL) Programs
  • USTA Vermont League team players competing at Nationals (reimbursements capped at $100/player)
  • PTR and USPTA certification scholarships
  • USTA Officiating Training certification scholarships
  • Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
  • Adaptive/Wheelchair Tennis
  • Community based tennis equipment and facility improvements
  • Innovative Programming

USTA Vermont will grant awards up to $5,000 to tennis programs/events operating in 2024. Typical grants awarded range between $500-$1500. This grant is not retroactive. We will only fund programs/events that have not yet occurred.

Eligibility and Requirements

In order to be eligible to receive grant funding applicants must do the following:

  • Indicate an interest in working with USTA Vermont and its representatives.
  • Submit applications focused on programs that engage new players and/or retain existing players
  • Applicants are limited to one grant application per program.
  • Applicants must be current USTA Member Organizations.
  • Applicants MUST be Safe Play approved.
  • Grant funds may not be used for prize money.
  • Hereafter applicants receiving funding from USTA Vermont in 2024 will submit a six-month follow-up to be considered for future funding.
  • Applications must be accompanied by the following documents:
    • Organization and Program History
    • Program Description (clearly demonstrate how the funds, if awarded, will be used to grow tennis participation and establish a defined timeline of program execution)
    • Program Budget (a viable financial plan that demonstrates sustainability)
    • Any flyers, brochures, promotional information (if available)
  • Organizations that receive USTA Vermont Grants are required to forward a brief description and photographs of the program’s success in order to qualify for future USTA Vermont grants. Please send the results of your grant-funded program to Joanna Beall, Pres USTAVT @ ustavtassoc@gmail.com

USTA Vermont reserves the right to fully fund, partially fund or not fund grant requests based on funding criteria, the amount of funding available, the quality of funding requests received, etc.

Grant Amount: $5,000 maximum award. Typical grants awarded range between $500-$1500.
